On Saturday, 8 May 2021, 22 Lions and 20 GaLTT members completely cleared numerous Broom infestations along 1 ½ km of Stalker Rd near Drumbeg Park on Gabriola. With help from the neighbours and an excellent turnout from both organizations, the whole road was cleaned of this invasive species to allow native plants to flourish once again.
